working principle:
There are many on-line filtration devices on the market, mainly for the interception of solid particles, but they can not intercept the organic pollutants causing ghost peak. Target ghost small column has strong adsorption on weak polar and non-polar organic impurities, but does not change the packing of mobile phase composition (without ion pair reagent). It carries out secondary purification on the instrument and mobile phase, effectively eliminates such pollutants, reduces the probability of ghost peak occurrence, and prolongs the life of chromatographic column and instrument.
Installation and use:
1. When using, install the impurity trapping column between the gradient mixer and the injector. Make sure that the column is installed before the injector. If it is installed after the injector, it will have strong adsorption on the sample.
2. Please use 80% methanol water to wash the target ghost impurity collection column for 1ml / min, flow rate for 20min, and then connect it to the equipment for use
3. Not all impurities can be absorbed by target ghost.
4. If the ion pair reagent is used in the mobile phase, it may adsorb the ion pair reagent and affect the retention time or peak type of the target substance. For this kind of mobile phase conditions, please determine whether to use the small column according to the chromatographic effect.
5. The life of chromatographic column is related to chromatographic analysis conditions, mobile phase brand and its purity. If the trapping effect becomes poor, it is recommended to replace it in time, but it can not be used indefinitely after being connected.
6. As a purification widget of the instrument, target ghost is equivalent to on-line filter on the instrument, only on-line filter can only filter solid particles, and it can not only filter solid particles, but also purify organic pollutants in the system, which is a better protection for the instrument and chromatographic column.
7. Before and after the use of buffer salt mobile phase, pay attention to use high proportion of water for transitional flushing to avoid buffer salt out, resulting in packing blockage.
8. When it is found that the collection effect of the small column is not ideal, it can be tried to wash the small column with 100% acetonitrile, and the outlet end of the small column should not be connected to the instrument.
